HAVE YOU EVER HAD TO WALK AWAY ?
This song depicts the most difficult decision I’ve ever made in my life. It had to come out of me and I cried writing it. I doubt it will ever get a cut, but it means so much to me and I’m good with that. I’m thinking that there’s a bunch of folks that have faced this same situation. Maybe they can relate. Maybe it’s too personal. What do ya think? -Ronnie

whatever we do

I won’t let our children
be put in the way
though our hearts are broken
it’s no fault of theirs
there’s no way I’d hurt them
not in a million years
before they lose trust and give up all hope
before they end up hating us both
oh, I’ll WALK AWAY, if that’s what it takes
one day when they’re older
they’ll figure it out
they’ll see the differences
when they look around
there’s my way and your way
to travel through life
guess we’ll always wonder
if either was right
there’s no one to blame
we need to be the people we became
so I’ll WALK AWAY if that’s what it takes
